Convergence, Natural Selection, 'Survival of the Fittest'

Convergent evolution is when two or more species share traits, not due to a common ancestor while Divergent Evolution is when two or more species diverge from a common ancestor.  A Divergent example would be the elephant and the mammoth.

An example of convergence evolution would be mantises and mantidfly.
